So, everything seemed ok right up until I finished writing that last post! Dizziness ensued though not a full on attack...at least not until I opened my eyes the next morning.
Vertigo, nausea, vomiting, sweating, the full kit and kaboodle. The worst thing about this whole illness is not knowing when an attack is going to strike. I try to live a normal life with it but it feels like I'm fighting a losing battle sometimes. How can life be normal when this hangs over me all the time?
I apologise for the self pitying tone of this post. I really need to snap out of it. I ate healthily for most of last week only to be rewarded with an attack do I've spent the weekend eating crap. I think maybe I need to start making an effort again tomorrow and give my body a chance to get used to some different fuel.

Here we go…
After yesterday's post I thought it might be a good idea to keep this blog updated with how I'm getting on.
Yesterday, I managed to avoid both wheat and milk and ate more fruit and vegetables than I have in a while. Et voila, no attacks of vertigo today! Of course, this could simply be a coincidence and I may end up spinning with the best of them later. Saying which, the tinnitus is roaring in my ear right now...ho-hum!

Current state of affairs
I've had one of those days today - dizziness has been lurking in the background almost since the moment I woke.
I've managed to take the kids to the cinema and go shopping when all I really wanted to do was gouge my ear out with a spoon.
I've had a lot of days like this recently and I'm putting it down to all the junk food I've been eating over the festive period. However, I've come to think of Meniere's as a multi-faceted malaise - I don't think just one thing can solve all problems. What's more, it seems that what works for one person may not work for another.
With this in mind I've decided to make an effort to eat a bit more healthily, cut down on my wheat and dairy intake. I'm convinced there is some allergy at play here. I'm also about three stone overweight and very unfit, so a bit of gentle exercise won't go astray.
Just at this moment I've really had enough of my head swimming every time I turn it and anything I can do to improve matters seems the only sensible course of action.
